Cavern Collection

I've come across another designer who uses a mix of natural resources and hand made craft for their design. Cavern Collection for Spring / Summer 09 uses lightweight hand dyes pieces with natural pigmants, intentionally left in the sun throughout the production process. Black and white jewellery constructed of wooden beads, seed beeds, fringe, feathers and animal teeth. The link above was found on their projects page, a film promoting their new collection 'To a higher place'. It is beautifully made and clearly represents their ethos and style. The use of light, styling and accessories including a glass ball with light bouncing off is really inspirational towards my ideas. To use light as a tool to reflect and refract from objects.
